Patrina Makins, is a native Washingtonian. She is the author of Motivational Gifts: Pathway to Your Divine Purpose. Patrina is an International motivational speaker, life purpose coach, entrepreneur, phenomenal educator, and ordained minister. She is a doctoral candidate studying Strategic Leadership at Regent University.
Ms. Makins is the President and founder of “The Not My Kids Foundation, Inc..” Their mission is to make a positive life-changing impact in the lives of young people through education, mentoring and advocacy services. Under that umbrella is P.K. (Patrina and Kellie) Girls Mentoring Program that is recognized by the National Mentor Network, Inc.
Patrina is the host of L.E.A.P. Conference The mission is to help women Lead. Employer, Aspire and Propel into their next dimension.
She is the co-host for the Push into Purpose Women’s Empowerment Conference. The mission is to have quarterly empowerment events sessions that create opportunities for women to network.
Ms. Makins is a community activist. She was nominated in 2013 – 2014; for the JM Lexus African America Achiever award and the PNC Bank's Non-Profit of the Year in the Category of Rising Star. In 2013 Patrina was nominated as the Community Citizens of the Year and given the Key to the City of Fort Lauderdale.
